Summer Collection

This work centres on a burnt pine cone collected from a forest in Bozcaada. Small and fragile in appearance, the pine cone nonetheless embodies resilience and continuity, as its seeds hold the potential for regeneration.

Through a sequence of photographs showing the cone gradually burning, the piece tells a story of destruction and survival. It highlights the urgent reality of forest fires a global crisis driven by both climate change and human negligence and invites reflection on the fragile yet enduring relationship between humans and nature.
